Job Posting: Business Manager

Position Summary:

Accounting  and Operations position is responsible for all financial and administrative activities including monthly closes, journal entries, GL reconciliations and analysis, amortizations, accruals, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, trade/barter, A/P, A/R, credit & collections, budgets, corporate reporting package, day to day HR responsibilities including payroll and employee benefits administration.

This position reports directly to the General Manager and has Corporate Reporting requirements.   Responsible for overseeing various departments within the organization.   The position will provide financial information that will assist the General Manager and Department Heads in making informed economic decisions regarding the business operations and the future direction of the Radio Stations.

The role of the Business Manager is a member of the management team as a strategic business partner, participating in a wide variety of projects including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and evaluating business operations and processes. The position requires a hands-on, organized, self-motivated, and detailed-oriented individual to interface with all levels and meet deadlines.

The purpose of the Business Manager is to support the efforts of the business unit in meeting various deadlines and compliance requirements for daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Handle Petty cash and reconcile as needed
  • Cash Maintenance & Reconciliation
  • Cash Flow Analysis
  • Bank Deposits

Accounts Payable

  • Point of contact for all vendor inquiries
  • Maintain vendor files in MAS 500 and ensure all new vendors have provided required information (as needed)
  • Process all Payables
  • W-9 & 1099 Requirements

Accounts Receivable

  • Credit & Collections
  • Coordinate Collections with AE’s and GM when necessary
  • Cash Receipts Application
  • Cash Receipt Reports for AEs and Analysis for Financials
  • Distribute AR Aging
  • Prepare Client history analysis as required when discrepancies occur
  • Research any client balance inquiries
  • Send out Invoices (weekly) and Statements (monthly) to clients

Monthly Close

  • Journal Entries
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Financial Statement Preparation Analysis
  • Provide Fixed Asset support to Corporate
  • Adhere to monthly deadlines of corporate close calendar

Human Resources

  • New Hire Onboarding & Terminations
  • Hiring personnel
  • Recruitment
  • Personnel File Maintenance including I-9s, Payroll and HR documents
  • Payroll Administration
  • HR Benefits Administration


  • Operating Lease and contracts management
  • Help prepare all audit requests during Annual external audit
  • Coordinate all Insurance changes (Additions & deletions)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 4-year Accounting or Economics degree preferred (CPA Preferred/MBA a plus).
  • 5-years of hands-on experience with payroll, including wage and hour guidelines.
  • 5+years of accounting experience, Broadcasting background a plus.
  • 5+ years of Supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel and Word) is required

  • Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize daily routine and urgent tasks

Job Posting: Senior Account Executive

Job Title:             Senior Account Executive                            Station:                ALL

FLSA Status:       Exempt , Outside Sales                                  Supervisory:      None

Position Summary:

The role of the Senior Account Executive is to generate and grow revenue from local and regional advertising accounts through broadcast and digital sales in order to meet sales goals.  This position is considered an outside sales position and requires that the Account Executive be out of the office more than 50% of the time conducting sales activities with clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain current and new station advertisers through prospecting and great client service
  • Primary responsibilities will include cold calling, developing new accounts, increasing share with existing clients, writing proposals, coordinating commercial copywriting and production and ongoing billing collection.
  • Build relationships and sell radio/digital as a marketing solution to help clients meet their key business challenges.
  • Follows up on sales orders and ensures client satisfaction
  • Ensures sales orders are submitted and processed according to company policies and procedures
  • Requires visits to client offices and premises
  • May require client outings to sports and other entertainment
  • Troubleshoot issues as necessary
  • Provides weekly activity/call reports and other sales reports when required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma is required, an Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in media/B2B/Outside Sales, with a demonstrated track record of meeting aggressive sales goals is preferred. Broadcast sales experience is beneficial, but not critical.
  • Must be a motivated and an enthusiastic self-starter who is able to work effectively in a team environment and also independently
  • Adobe Photoshop and MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel and Word) are an asset
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Willingness to receive sales and radio training.  Office environment, some repetitive motion required.  Requires travel to station events and client sites, valid drivers’ license is required with good driving record.  Must have a reliable means of transportation and maintain current insurance and registration.
